#K267 Keeper of the Patch E-Pattern
This is a non-sewing pattern if you use a premade 8x12 burlap bag.
This is just the cutest scarecrow....you can put down in any type of bucket or crate. You can even eliminate the bucket and put it down into a bale of straw.
He is easy to make using a premade 8x12 burlap bag for his head, no sewing involved. However, you can also make your own using burlap material. You can just fold over a piece of burlap and sew a whipstitch up one side and across the bottom to make your own bag. You could also use a glue gun.
You can use a 12" straw hat or 8" Black Felt Hat available under the CRAFT SUPPLIES category. Hobby Lobby carries a 10" straw hat that is a little small for him, but it will work in a pinch.
Pictures below shows traditional fall colors in a galvanized sap bucket and neutral fall colors in a vintage wood ice cream bucket. I got a toddler flannel shirt from a thrift store.
You can also get men's hats at thrift stores. Straw hats can be bought at both Hobby Lobby and Michaels.
