NOTE: You'll need to purchase a 1/8" dowel rod separately to complete your shovel shaft. This gives you the flexibility to customize the length based on your project requirements. Note that dowel rods from different retailers like Hobby Lobby, Walmart, and Lowe's can vary slightly in diameter. For the best fit between the shovel head and handle, you may need to lightly sand the dowel ends to ensure a snug connection.
